April 26, 2016- "Teen with Autism Runs Nonprofit that Helps Other Kids Like Him and Their Families"-  Max Miller, a 14-year-old with autism, decided to take it upon himself to raise support for programs that help Denver area kids on the spectrum. The Blue Ribbon Arts Initiative is a nonprofit organization he started when he was 12. Max displays his artistic ability in his book “Hello My Name is Max and I Have Autism,” which reveals what it is like to have autism, and helps families to understand the importance of support and communication. The book is available within the online store at the organization's site, which also holds events to raise money for Colorado area programs.
