March 31, 2016- "'Autism Cop' Honored for Educating Law Enforcement on Disorders"- Late last year we brought you the story of Rob Zink, who has been dubbed the “Autism Cop” for his training of fellow police officers to help recognize and assist individuals with autism through the Cops Autism Response Education (CARE) initiative. Recently, he took on a new title: St. Paul Police Officer of the Year. St. Paul Chief Tom Smith praised Zink as an invaluable resource to the force for the relationships he has built with families within the community as well as for his training of fellow officers.
